The idea of zodiac candles is great, right? But how exactly does the zodiac have a scent that can be made into candle form?

The truth is, each of the 12 zodiac signs directly relates to many different factors. You’re probably already familiar with the concept of a “birthstone.” Birthstones are gems that are associated with either a birth month or a specific sign. October has two — opal and tourmaline. 

Scents are like this, too. While they are less direct than birthstones, certain scents are associated directly with different vibes each zodiac sign tends to put out. It’s true on an internal level, too. Certain fragrances have a tendency to open people up, even if they’re not sure why. We’re all just biologically programmed that way.

Birthdate Candles

Before we dig into the specific scents associated with each astrological sign, we wanted to talk a little bit about how we make our own zodiac candles!

While some companies create one all-encompassing scent for each astrological sign, we went one step further. We actually worked with master perfumers to create a unique, custom blend of natural fragrance oils for each day of the year. These birthday candles each exude their own unique fragrance.

Each scent was made to match the inner spirit of anyone born on that specific day. They take into account different personality traits of the sign associated with that day, too. That makes every birthday candle we make special — just like all of us are.

Aries (March 21st - April 19th)

Let’s start out at the beginning of the zodiac, with our good friend The Ram. 

Aries is known as being self-sufficient, natural-born leaders. They are enthusiastic, super energetic, quiet-witted, and brave. They are also a fire sign, so they love big, bold scents that come across as assertive as they are. 

Our Aries candles use scents that relate to this sign, including rose, ginger, tobacco, leather, amber, and coriander. 

Taurus (April 20th - May 20th)

Taurus, or The Bull, is the first earth sign of the zodiac.

Gemini (May 21st - June 20th)

The Twins, as they’re often called, are known for being adaptable and incredibly intelligent. They are the first air sign in the zodiac and are best when they are able to fully express both sides of their personality. Scorpio (October 23rd - November 21st)

Scorpio is one of the most misunderstood signs in the zodiac. 

While they definitely have their times of being “extra,” Scorpios are just overly passionate. It’s just part of what makes them such dynamic people who tend to draw people in. They are also very determined and creative.

Scents that best fit with the Scorpio zodiac sign are just as bold as they are, like gardenia, anise, and wisteria.

Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)

As signs go, there aren’t many who are more independent than The Archer. 

This fire sign loves to seize the day in any way that it can. They thrive on adventure and absolutely hate to be tied down. They’re full of energy, both physically and mentally, which is contagious to anyone around them.

Aquarius (January 21st - February 18th)
